The first phase involves Gorham/University between the East Campus Mall and State Street, and includes North Broom Street between West Johnson and State streets.

Additional phases begin in mid-May, with reconstruction of University Avenue from Park Street west to Shorewood Boulevard.

Two lanes of traffic will be kept open on University Avenue though access from side streets may be limited at times.

For access to the museum, it is recommended that drivers take Park Street to Johnson Street for access to parking ramps. Note that the block between Park Street and the East Campus pedestrian mall will not be under construction (this is the block directly in front of the museum), and the intersection of Park Street and University Avenue will remain open during the University Avenue construction project.
