The Chazen is Now Open by Appointment

The Chazen Museum of Art is now open. Hours are Tuesday–Friday, 12-5 p.m., The first and second floors of the Chazen building only are open, with a limit of 25 visitors at a time. To manage occupancy, the museum uses a free admission appointment system. 

Faculty Exhibition 2020, Speaking of Book Arts: Oral Histories from UW-Madison, and a selection of recent acquisitions are currently on view.

Museum and campus safety measures

In keeping with UW–Madison policy, University of Wisconsin System policy, Dane County policy, and for the safety of the community, face masks or coverings are required to enter the building. 

High-touch surfaces in the museum will be wiped down hourly, and the occupancy limit will allow 6-foot distancing.

If you or anyone in your household is feeling unwell or exhibiting any COVID symptoms, please stay home and visit the museum online.
