Executive Assistant to the Director
The Chazen Museum of Art is recruiting for a talented Executive Assistant to the Director. This is an excellent opportunity for seasoned administrative professionals or other outstanding candidates looking for a career in museums. Candidates should have at least 5 years in administration and 3 years providing executive level support. This individual is expected to have strong attention to detail, excellent writing skills, and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment. We will consider candidates from all backgrounds with a demonstrated ability to think strategically, manage up, and increase efficiency in an executive setting. A bachelor’s degree is preferred, but not required. Experience within UW-Madison, or in a museum setting, is helpful but not required. For more information and to apply:  Executive Assistant.

Student Work Opportunities

It is part of the Chazen Museum of Art’s mission to give UW–Madison students opportunities to learn about careers in the museum field. Students provide vital assistance in areas such as exhibition preparation, special events, membership and development, publications, administration, and retail. A work study award is preferred, but not required, for most student positions. Students from all backgrounds and academic disciplines are encouraged to apply.
