Admission is free. The museum is open to the public.

The first and second floors of the Chazen building are open. The café remains closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Closed on Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Dec. 24, Dec. 25, Dec 31, Jan. 1, Memorial Day, July 4. Open on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
Due to the pandemic, group tours are suspended.
Public parking is available at the City of Madison State Street campus ramp (entrances on Lake Street and Frances Street) and in the University Square parking ramp, entrance on Lake Street. See the Downtown Madison parking webpage for more information.
Hourly parking in UW–Madison Transportation Services lots includes public pay-on-exit parking in UW Lot 46, entrances on Lake and Frances streets, as well as evening and weekend parking in UW Lot 83 under Fluno Center, entrance on Frances Street, and in UW Lot 7 under Grainger Hall, entrance on Brooks Street between University Avenue and Johnson Street. You can check lot availability here (please note that vacant stall numbers are approximate and may fluctuate quickly).

East-bound City of Madison buses stop at the corner of Johnson and Park Streets, one block to the south of the museum. West-bound buses stop on University Avenue at University and Lake. The UW–Madison campus bus stops on Park Street just north of University Avenue. Bus schedules can be found at City of Madison Metro Transit.
