(Nuances of Gesture - Some Humble Observations on the Paintings of Dan Ramirez)


A professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison since 1997, Derrick Buisch has exhibited in many museums regionally and nationally.  He was awarded the 2016 Joan Mitchell Foundation Grant for Painters and Sculptors and was a Wisconsin Triennial Artist in 2014 and 2016. Buisch received his BFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art, Baltimore, MD and his MFA from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, MN.
