The Chazen Museum of Art is a world-class museum with an outstanding collection and a reputation for exceptional exhibitions, insightful programming, and vibrant arts experiences for all age groups. Gift funds help to ensure that we are able to continue to offer exciting ways for individuals to engage with the museum.
We invite you to join our Friends of the Chazen membership program by making a contribution to the museum at one of the levels outlined below. Not only will you be making a commitment to a valuable community resource by supporting museum programming, acquisitions, and publications, but you will have the opportunity to connect with the museum, mix and mingle with like-minded individuals, and have access to more learning opportunities—both formal and informal—in new and exciting ways offered only to members of the Friends of the Chazen!
Café discount: receive a discount in the new museum shop and café at the Chazen, opening summer 2019.
College and University Art Museum (CAM) Reciprocal Program: Benefits and discounts at academic art museums across the county.
Electronic communication: Receive a monthly email detailing upcoming events at the museum.
Sunday Afternoon Live seat reservation: Call the museum on Friday before 4 p.m. to reserve a seat for that week’s Sunday Afternoon Live concert. Arrive by 12:20 p.m. to claim your seat.
Invitations to openings and events: invitations mailed to your home.
Artscene: The museum’s newsletter published in September, January, and June.
The Chazen’s Annual Calendar: A 12-month, academic-year wall calendar highlighting the beauty of the permanent collection, with a few surprises included.
NARM (North American Reciprocal Museum): Enjoy reciprocal benefits from over 1,000 cultural and historical institutions and museums. See: narmassociation.org
Curatorial Connections: Take a class or attend special curator talks. This long-running educational opportunity gives participants the opportunity to study objects from the museum’s collection with one of its curators. Additional fee.
Members-only coffee and conversation with the director: Visit the museum to learn the most up-to-date information and discuss current exhibitions with the museum director.
Members-only hours: Have the place to yourself! Visit the museum during special hours with other Friends of the Chazen.
Exclusive after-hours event: Experience the museum in a unique way with this after-hours party for Chazen Friends at select levels.
Cocktail party with the director: Friends of the Chazen at this level will have the opportunity to attend a cocktail party and experience the museum with the director, curators, and other guests.
